Service & Maintenance TechnicianThe Service & Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This role supports uptime, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across advanced equipment and facilities.UTAC is a market-leading international group in digital & sustainable mobility, customisable testing solutions, vehicle engineering, homologation, regulatory advice & expertise, certification, training, corporate events and classic & sportscars festivals.The Group provides services and test solutions to customers in the various sectors: mobility, transport, tyre, petrochemical, agriculture and defence industries. We are proud and confident in our heritage, our capabilities and our people and believe that by creating a culture where individuals feel they can make a difference and enjoy coming to work, we can deliver the best possible service to our customers.Our core values of Expertise, Innovation and Integrity provide a clear daily guide to how we work together safely, as one team, helping each other to succeed.QualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and automated systemsTroubleshoot and repair equipment failures using diagnostic tools and root-cause analysisSupport installation, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment and systemsMonitor system performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiencyCollaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues and implement process improvementsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Support continuous improvement initiatives (SQCDP) to reduce downtime and operating costsMaintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for service and repairsLight Fabricating and/or machining fixturingKeeping workspace clean (Shop/Trash cans/Fab room)Assist in supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Skill Requirements:Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical is preferred4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech environmentsKnowledge of mechanical systems: couplings, alignments, vibration, pumpsKnowledge of electrical systems: VFD troubleshooting, AC motors, sensors, and control systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manualsExperience with automated systems preferredProficiency in using diagnostic toolsFluency in the English language is requiredStrong problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills requiredAble to relay technical information in a way your audience understandsConsistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the jobProficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work areaStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsHigh attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsStrong communication and documentation skillsAdaptability in a fast-paced, high-tech environmentExperience in the automotive testing and validation industry preferredStrong time management, multi-tasking, and organization skillsAble to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goalsConsistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulationsSelf-starter, who can multi-task and possess strong communication skillsValid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:Exposure to industry accepted chemicals and noiseRegularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facilityAble to lift and/or move materials as needed in the performance of assigned dutiesRequirements include, but are not limited to stand, walk, sit, twist, bend, lift, see, speak, hearProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMay require occasional travel (locally, nationally, internationally)Additional InformationFor you, as a potential UTAC team member, we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion, energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
