Overview Pediatric Hospitalist – Midland, MI Responsibilities Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide exceptional inpatient care at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. Join a high-performing, multidisciplinary team where you’ll manage a broad spectrum of pediatric cases—from acute medical conditions to surgical consults—delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatric Hospitalist Position Overview In this pediatric hospitalist role, you will play a vital part in shaping the inpatient pediatric experience, ensuring high-quality care delivery while collaborating closely with specialists, nursing teams, and community providers. Key Responsibilities for Pediatric Hospitalist Provide direct inpatient care, including daily rounds, admissions, and discharges Interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and manage ongoing treatment plans Perform essential pediatric procedures such as IV placement, lumbar punctures, and resuscitations Collaborate with subspecialists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to resident education and mentorship Practice Highlights Care provided within a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery environment Practice based at MyMichigan Medical Center – Midland, a respected regional healthcare facility Out-of-house call model supporting improved work-life balance Structured 24-hour shift scheduleCollegial, team-oriented culture with strong clinical and administrative support Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program Eligible for Michigan medical licensure Benefits and Compensation Our clinicians enjoy a competitive compensation package, with many locations offering sign-on bonuses and relocation.
