Carl’s Dragline Service is seeking an experienced  Field Diesel Mechanic to join our small, family team. This role is essential to keeping our fleet of draglines, excavators, forklifts, and other diesel equipment operating safely and efficiently. The Diesel Mechanic will perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs at our Buckeye shop and at various mine sites.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose and engine repair, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment and support vehicles

· Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service on heavy machinery

· Collaborate with other team members while maintaining responsibility for assigned equipment and areas

· Travel to mine sites as needed for field repairs and maintenance (company vehicle provided, insured under CDS)

· Maintain accurate service and repair records

· Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and MSHA standards

· Keep shop and work areas organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary tools and parts

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years experience working with diesel equipment, including friction and pneumatic systems

· Proven experience with heavy equipment, including draglines, excavators, and forklifts

· Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment

· Willingness to travel to field sites as required

· Flexible schedule allowing weekend availability for overtime preferred

· Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred

· MSHA Certification preferred

· Welding and fabrication experience a plus

Clean driving record is a must!

Experience:

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
