Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM with on-call requirements (one evening per week, 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM; two Saturdays or Sundays per month, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM); standard 30-minute on-call response time required

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate across multiple OR specialties including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Ortho, General Surgery, Eyes, Endo, and Cysto
• Perform circulating duties for Cardiovascular cases including CABGs, TARs, and Carotids
• Assist with Neuro cases including Craniotomies (frequently performed as after-hours call cases), TLIFs, Laminectomies, and Discectomies
• Support Orthopedic cases including trauma, Total Shoulders, Total Knees, Total Hips, and ORIFs utilizing robotic platforms as needed
• Operate within General Surgery cases involving robotic-assisted procedures, open abdominal, and trauma cases
• Float between two campus locations (approximately 16 minutes apart) as needed and precept staff as requested by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience; 5 or more years strongly preferred
• Cardiovascular OR experience with ability to circulate CABGs is required
• Robotics experience required; must have experience with both the Mako (Ortho) and DaVinci (General, Urology, CV) robotic systems
• Experience with Craniotomies required due to frequency as after-hours call cases
• Ability and willingness to fulfill on-call obligations including evenings and weekends with a 30-minute response time

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrubbing experience in Cardiovascular cases is a plus
• Prior preceptor experience or willingness to precept OR staff as needed
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-acuity, multi-specialty OR caseloads with strong references
