Key Accountabilities:Process purchasing award summaries and purchasing documentsAssist in the development of Commodity Team strategies that align with Global Purchasing and Logistics ObjectivesDevelop sourcing lists and monitor supplier performanceAggressively resolve all pricing, invoicing and contract related issues with the suppliersNegotiate pricing, terms and annual contracts with suppliersAnalyze supplier cost / pricing information and benchmark the competitionMaintain open communication between internal departments, management, and suppliersSupport cost savings initiativesSupport the implementation of a standardized process approach utilizing digitalization, common forms, measurements, and structureForecast annual material, purchasing volumes, annual savings, tooling costs and repair budgetMaintain good housekeeping practicesAdhere to company/professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentialityPromote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of ConductPerform special projects as requiredBasic Requirements: Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this timeBachelor's Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, and 5 years of procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management experience; or 9 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain managementAbility to travel - domestic and international on a limited basis and learn commodity processes at supplier locationsPreferred Qualifications: Experience handling confidential sensitive matters with discretionExcellent negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with othersExcellent working knowledge of purchasing practices and proceduresExcellent financial/cost analysis and problem-solving skills when issues are very complexStrong organizational, planning, and follow-up skillsStrong oral, written and presentation communication skills, and the ability to understand the needs of the internal customerExcellent ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documentsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently with little directionKnowledge of production planning, supply chain and/or materials management processesProficient with PC and MS Office SuiteSpecific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities, materials and productsSAP experienceEngineering or technical degreeGerman language skillsRolls-Royce is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
