Pay: $22-24/hr
Schedule: 10 hours per week 
3 month contract position

Tax Preparation Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparation Assistant to support our growing tax and accounting firm. This role involves organizing client information, entering tax data, reviewing documents for completeness, and assisting the owner with tax return preparation during tax season.
Responsibilities

• Support owner during tax season with tax return preparation and client file management
• Enter client tax documents into tax software accurately and efficiently
• Organize and review W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, business income and expense reports, and rental activity
• Assist with:
  • Individual tax returns
    • Schedule C businesses
    • Schedule E rental properties
    • K-1 reporting
  • S-Corporation returns (1120-S)
• Identify missing information and assist with client follow-up as needed
• Maintain organized digital client files and records

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a tax office, CPA firm, or accounting environment preferred
• Experience entering tax data for individual and business returns
• Familiarity with:
  • Schedule C
  • Schedule E
  • K-1s
  • 1120-S returns
• Preferred additional experience with:
  • Form 1065 Partnerships
  • Form 1120 Corporate Returns
  • Form 990 Nonprofit Returns
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage deadlines during busy season
• Experience with tax software is a plus
