PRN Surgical Technician

The NeuroMedical Center is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to join our Pain Management Department.

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting physicians during procedures and ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient environment. This position is responsible for preparing surgical instruments and equipment, supporting patient care, and maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technician duties during procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields in accordance with established protocols
• Assist physicians by anticipating needs during procedures
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist with patient preparation, including skin prep and draping
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and cleaning systems
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and storage of surgical instruments
• Support patient safety and uphold infection control standards at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician program, or equivalent experience
• Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical or operating room experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
