A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in growing as a designer will go a long way in this role.What You'll DoBring ideas to life through creative designs for print, digital and multimedia applicationsCreate materials including posters, advertisements, brochures, billboards, templates, digital media, newsletters, web elements and other marketing collateralDevelop visual concepts, graphics and artwork that support LifeSouth's brand and marketing initiativesApply brand standards consistently while finding creative ways to carry visual elements across campaigns and projectsManage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shiftTake direction and move projects forward independently, using good judgment and asking questions when additional information is neededCollaborate with team members and internal partners to understand project needs and develop effective creative solutionsReceive, incorporate and respond professionally to feedback and revisions throughout the creative processReview your work carefully for accuracy, consistency and quality before final productionEdit and write copy while adhering to AP StyleStay current with design software, tools and techniquesCommunicate proactively about project status, changing priorities, questions or potential roadblocksSupport other projects and the team, as needs ariseWhat You'll NeedHigh school diploma or GEDProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesignStrong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applicationsA creative eye and strong attention to detailThe ability to take direction, apply feedback and move work forward without requiring continuous oversightInitiative, resourcefulness and practical problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlinesThe judgment to work through routine challenges independently while recognizing when to ask for clarification or assistanceA collaborative, dependable and team-oriented approachA willingness to learn, receive feedback and continue developing your skillsA valid driver's license and the ability to meet and maintain LifeSouth driver eligibility requirementsCandidates may be asked to provide a portfolio or samples of relevant design work as part of the selection process.LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
