Cloud Engineering Lead

Salary: $107,900 - 195,050 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree plus 10+ years of experience in DoD enterprise environments, or a masters degree plus 8+ years of experience in DoD enterprise environments.
• We require an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• We need strong writing ability and exceptional attention to detail.
• We require excellent communication skills.
• We require a technical cloud architecture background with experience in DevSecOps, VDI, and hybrid cloud engineering.
• Preferred experience includes cloud technologies such as AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure GovCloud.
• Preferred background includes cloud architecture and DevSecOps expertise.

• We lead the team in supporting sustainment strategies for cloud computing deployments and integrating on-premises environments with current and future cloud platforms.
• We provide subject matter expertise across AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure GovCloud, and related cloud services.
• We advise on the architectural design and engineering of cloud solutions, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and lower cost.
• We document cloud architecture, deployment, implementation, installation, and configuration details.
• We install and configure hardware and software supporting cloud technologies using industry best practices.
• We test new cloud technology releases in pre-production lab environments, including regression testing of standard configurations.
• We recommend and carry out upgrades in pre-production and production environments in line with change management procedures.
• We establish standard configurations and maintain patching and platform versions across lab and production systems.
• We deliver 24x7 technical support to ensure rapid issue resolution and high availability.
• We support IAVA, STIG, and other DoD policy requirements, including RA and RMF, and help develop accreditation packages toward ATO achievement.
• We create and maintain architecture diagrams, network boundary diagrams, and installation configuration guides.
• We coordinate and collaborate closely with team members, including managing issues, prioritizing onsite production work, and producing reports and site summaries.
• We may engage with subcontractors, vendors, and government stakeholders as needed.
• We influence project and team leaders on solution design, processes, and implementation approaches.
• We provide Tier 3 engineering support for production help desk issues.
• We drive key project and program deliverables and take ownership of work spanning multiple technical disciplines.
• We apply creativity and technical ingenuity to develop new solutions that meet functional objectives.

We are supporting a new anticipated contract with the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic in Charleston, South Carolina, in support of the Defense Health Enterprise Application and Desktop Virtualization Support Group and the Clinical Information Modernization Integrated Product Team. Our work centers on the Clinical Infrastructure Modernization Program Lifecycle Environment project, backing the Datacenter Operations Program through enterprise infrastructure and professional IT services for the Defense Health Agencys Private Cloud, Application Virtualization Hosting Environment, and DevSecOps Community Cloud platforms. This is a 100% onsite position in Charleston, South Carolina. The posting is for anticipated future work, and the pay range for this role is $107,900.00 to $195,050.00.
