Staff Accountant

Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities to support operations and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

Processing accounts payable to include invoice data entry and confirmation of purchase orders and receiving documents
Reconcile vendor and credit card statements
Post entries to the General Ledger system
Assist with month-end close as needed
Client invoicing as needed
Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Responsibilities

Conduct business in a responsible manner that complies with all state, OSHA and Federal regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities

Experience

One or more (1+) years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience required
Three or more (3+) years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience preferred

Education

Associates degree in accounting or related field required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
SAP knowledge is preferred
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to work independently and as a team

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time
Able to lift up to 10lbs
