Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursery Duration: 13-18 weeks upon request Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must have applicable state nursing license Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years - Completion of at least 1 travel assignment Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in the Nursery. The role is focused on providing care in a Special Care Nursery setting. The candidate will have experience in neonatal care, particularly with Level II infants. Experience in the delivery room is also required. Charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Preceptor experience is a plus but not required. The nurse will float to postpartum for baby care assignments. Every other weekend commitment is expected. The position will entail a patient care ratio typical for the nursery setting. Additional responsibilities will include discharge teaching, infant assessments, and care for newborns with specific medical needs. Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. The facility provides support from physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and social services.
