Job Description: Clinical Director, Discovery Health Department: Clinical Services Reports To: Executive Director FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Ennis, Texas Position Type: Full-Time About Discovery Point Retreat Located just south of Dallas, our Ennis drug and alcohol rehab center provides a peaceful environment where individuals can focus on healing and recovery. At Discovery Point Retreat in Ennis, Texas, we offer personalized addiction treatment programs designed to help people overcome substance use and build a strong foundation for lasting sobriety. We chose the name “Discovery Point Retreat” with intention — and our beautiful location in Ennis brings that name to life. About 30 miles south of Dallas, our Ennis facility truly offers a retreat from the stresses and pressures of everyday life, so healing becomes your highest priority. Our three-story ranch-style housing facility features semi-private rooms, outfitted with Xbox streaming services and comfortable memory foam mattresses, you’ll feel right at home during the course of treatment. You’ll also enjoy amenities like a personal chef, snacks anytime, half basketball court, seasonal fishing pond, a spa and salon, onsite gym, outdoor fire pit and nature trails. No matter where you are on your recovery journey, we’ll meet you there. Our alcohol and drug rehab in Ennis, TX is a perfect place to start. Discovery Point Retreat is in-network with many insurance providers , which makes treatment more affordable. Job Summary The Clinical Director provides leadership and oversight of all therapeutic programming and clinical services at the facility. This role ensures high-quality care delivery through supervision of therapists, case managers, and assistant clinical directors. The Clinical Director develops program schedules, maintains regulatory compliance, and serves as the primary liaison between clinical staff and facility leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise, support, and evaluate the clinical team, including therapists, case managers, assistant clinical directors, and (at EDS) dietitians and chefs. Oversee the implementation and fidelity of treatment programming and group therapy curriculum. Facilitate clinical meetings, case reviews, and multidisciplinary treatment planning. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with licensing and accreditation standards. Monitor clinical compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational protocols. Manage therapist caseload assignments and ensure clinical productivity standards are met. Collaborate with the Executive Director, Nursing, and Operations teams to ensure coordinated client care. Respond to escalated clinical concerns, client crises, or grievances in a timely and ethical manner. Maintain knowledge of evidence-based practices and lead ongoing clinical training and development. Contribute to quality assurance audits, utilization reviews, and outcome reporting. Qualifications Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Active and unrestricted Texas licensure as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist required. 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting. Strong knowledge of substance use, co‑occurring disorders, and trauma‑informed care models. Familiarity with EMR systems, documentation standards, and utilization review processes. Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams and regulatory audits preferred. Occasional evening or weekend availability for emergencies or supervision. Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work for documentation and supervision. FLSA Classification: This position is Exempt and is not eligible for overtime under federal and state wage and hour laws.
