Working diligently across various aspects of course maintenance and construction, you will contribute to ensuring that our facilities consistently meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. From mowing and edging greens to planting and cultivating turf, your efforts will directly impact the overall playing experience for our members and guests. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our groundskeeping team, leveraging your expertise and attention to detail to address any issues and implement enhancements that elevate the beauty and functionality of our course.Performance Objectives:Engage in routine manual labor essential for the maintenance of the golf course, ensuring its impeccable appearance and functionalityExpertly mow greens, tees, and collars to precise specifications, enhancing the playing experience for golfersDiligently rake and maintain sand bunkers, ensuring they meet the highest standards of playability and aestheticsSkillfully edge cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and drains, contributing to the overall tidiness and safety of the courseOperate light equipment proficiently to transport materials and efficiently remove debris, facilitating smooth course operationsProvide valuable assistance in the construction of new greens, tees, and fairways by participating in grading, soil preparation, and planting activitiesPerforms other related duties as assignedKey Competencies:Customer Service Skills: Proficient in providing outstanding service to guests and residents, ensuring their needs are met with excellenceEffective Communication: Ability to convey information clearly and persuasively to individuals and groups of customers or associatesAdaptability: Capable of applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in various formats, whether written, oral, or diagram formProblem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in addressing challenges that may arise, particularly those involving multiple variables in standardized situationsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficiency in operating hand and power tools essential for golf course maintenance.Demonstrated ability to operate riding mowers, tractors, and other specialized equipment used in golf course maintenance.Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance is advantageous.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.Physical Requirements:Constantly stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel; Frequently use arms and handsManual dexterity for using golf equipmentClear vision and hearing to communicate effectivelyCapability to lift up and carry up to 20 poundsDepending on the season, there is a possibility of encountering cold temperatures, heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceEmployer Paid Life InsuranceVoluntary STD, LTD, Accidental, and Critical IllnessPTO and 11 Paid Holidays401k & 401k MatchingWorking in an inclusive communityComplimentary stay at our resortsRoberts Resorts & Communities stands firm in our commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity.
