Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 09/14/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Candidates residing within 50–100 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced rate or may not be accepted. \n Applicants must have worked in this unit or setting within the past year to be considered for this position. \n \n Job Title\n Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Location\n Duluth, GA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type\n Contract | Days | Shift varies, approximately 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM Key Responsibilities\n \n Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions \n Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness in the immediate post-operative period \n Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition \n Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner electronic health records \n Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions \n Adhere to holiday coverage requirements, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) \n Required Qualifications\n \n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license \n Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience \n AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required \n Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required \n Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required \n Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records \n Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible \n Preferred Experience / Skills\n \n Experience in a high-volume or acute care surgical setting \n Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced post-operative environment \n Familiarity with a wide range of surgical specialties and anesthesia recovery protocols \n Why Join Us\n \n Opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment with a skilled interdisciplinary team \n Contract position offering flexibility and professional growth in a specialized nursing setting \n \n \n \n Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 774877.
