Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, understanding their limitations and potential for progress.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that address specific orthopedic conditions, ensuring the best outcomes for each patient.

• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians to ensure consistent quality of care.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment notes in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as adherence to Velocity Wellness standards.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients experiencing a range of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your expertise will guide each patient's journey from assessment to recovery, supporting their health and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.

• Current certification in CPR from the American Heart Association.

• Proficiency in operating physical therapy equipment and performing functional evaluations.

• Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and other health professionals.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic conditions.

• Experience in utilizing evidence-based practice for treatment plan development.

• Expertise in working with varied patient demographics, including pediatrics to geriatrics.
