Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Design personalized treatment plans that effectively address both immediate challenges and long-term objectives in communication, cognitive ability, or swallowing functions.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting essential aspects such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families to empower progress and support therapy goals during and beyond treatment sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Keep meticulous and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Engage in ongoing learning opportunities and networking with peers to stay abreast of industry advancements.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
