We value your insights and experiences because they help us grow stronger together Where You Will Work: 4 Operating rooms Come work for a Surgery Center that is hospital based - higher pay rate than stand alone surgery centers Call rotation to cover Ophthalmology emergent cases Surgery Center services: ophthalmology, ortho, and plastics We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association One year experience - and or surgical experience What You’ll Do: Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Verifies patient identity, allergies, and surgical site Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge. Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum. Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance. Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities. Patient Care – positioning of patient, maintains sterile and safe environment, prepares the OR with necessary supplies, time outs, checks for inventory, and documents all aspects of the procedure Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday–Friday, five 8-hour shifts, variable start times based on the surgical schedule. 0630 starts, with occasional later starts to support later-running ORs.
