Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Instructor to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success. Adjunct Instructor who subscribes to the notion of meeting students where they are, DCCC has a place for you! Attention BSNs and MSNs consider making a positive impact on the nursing profession while gaining extra income. DCCC is expanding its clinical nursing instructor pool and currently seeking experienced registered nurses to function as clinical instructors to provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in a variety of healthcare settings and nursing laboratory experiences.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include teaching clinical and simulation lab courses in nursing concepts. Other responsibilities will include orientation to the clinical facility, preparation time and completion of paperwork for clinical and students. Faculty members are expected to provide high quality instruction and to implement assessment as necessary based on department requirements. Mentoring support will be provided for individuals new to clinical nursing education. Day, evening and weekend assignments are available.

Experience & Education

Qualified candidate must have a BSN (MSN preferred); demonstrated clinical expertise, knowledge of nursing theory/practice; excellent oral and written communication skills; commitment to student; professional development; and compliance with all regulatory and clinical facility requirements.

Background Clearances: Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background History, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance); Verification of educational credentials. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
