TN/N. MS/W. KY. This is more than a sales position, it is a chance to make a real impact in healthcare by delivering cutting edge diagnostic solutions where they matter most. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid background in clinical diagnostics and a deep understanding of hospital networks, including Laboratory, ED, Clinic, Physician Office Lab and Urgent Care settings.As a Key Account Manager, you will be instrumental in accelerating growth, expanding market share, and driving revenue across key accounts. You will be at the forefront of innovation, helping healthcare providers make faster, smarter decisions that improve patient outcomes. Leveraging your technical expertise and consultative selling skills, you’ll influence purchasing decisions and deliver tailored diagnostic solutions. You will serve as the primary contact for account management, focused on improving profitability, increasing customer loyalty, and securing contract renewals and new business. You will be responsible for an annual target and goal achievement within the following product lines: ID NOW PLATFORM (Influenza, Covid-19, RSV, Strep A), BinaxNOW COVID-19/Flu A&B Combo, DETERMINE HIV-1/2, BinaxNOW Streptococcus pneumoniae & Legionella, BinaxNOW Malaria, Clearview hCG, Clearview PBP2a SA.What you'll doServe as a trusted advisor to existing customers by building strong relationships, understanding stakeholder priorities, conducting business reviews, and delivering proactive solutions that drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.Develop and execute strategic account plans to protect and grow the customer base, drive value expansion, increase profitability, and achieve annual growth objectives.Partner with customers to identify operational improvements, optimize reagent utilization, expand product adoption, and anticipate future needs based on market, regulatory, and industry trends.Manage the sales process and account strategy through effective use of SFDC, Power BI, Microsoft tools, sales metrics, forecasting, and analytics to support decision-making and sustain long-term growth.Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, proposals, bid preparations, customer implementation activities, and renewal planning to maximize account value and mitigate competitive threats.Maintain strong product, market, and competitive knowledge while leveraging insights to influence purchasing decisions and position Abbott solutions effectively.Collaborate with Sales Development Managers, Health System Executives, Distribution Field Managers, Regional Business Analysts, distribution partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience, resolve challenges, and support business objectives.Manage and develop third-party distributor relationships through training, sales support, technical expertise, performance management, and ongoing communication, while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, company policies, and professional standards.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degreeMinimum 4 years proven success in medical sales, ideally within the diagnostics spaceExperience working with distribution partnersWillingness to travel within the assigned territory (4 days/week, up to ~35% overnight travel)Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, health care, or life scienceDeep understanding of laboratory and point-of-care settings, health system operations, and health economicsStrong financial acumen and ability to analyze healthcare market dataDemonstrated individual contributor experience including problem solving, complex selling, planning and execution.Excellent interpersonal skills and documented success in team selling environment with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels of the organizationExperience with complex contracting and negotiationIf you are a strategic thinker with a passion for healthcare innovation and a track record of exceeding goals, this is a great role for you.Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
