About the Team
At Holley Performance Brands, our 3P Marketplace team exists to accelerate growth through Marketplaces that drive strong brand awareness and growth. We partner closely with Division Marketing, to activate our marketplaces across Amazon, eBay and Walmart to optimize prime, product launches and traffic.
About the Role
The Director of 3rd Party Marketplaces leads the strategy, governance, and execution of product listing creation, optimization, and curation across Amazon, Walmart, and eBay to drive direct-to-consumer sales.
This role owns the marketplace product experience end-to-end, including product onboarding, content standards, taxonomy, SEO, and compliance—ensuring listings are accurate, discoverable, and aligned with both brand standards and platform requirements.
In close partnership with Divisions/Business Units, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and Finance—as well as strategic leadership of external agencies and vendors—this role drives sales growth, visibility, and scalable execution across a complex catalog spanning tens of thousands of SKUs and dozens of brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Business Units/Divisions to identify growth opportunities and performance improvements
- Lead the 3P 3–5-year strategic growth roadmap using our vendor / partners and agencies as necessary
- Build strategies to control the ownership of the Amazon Buy Box, through partnering with external compliance vendors and internal prosing strategies
- Own and execute marketplace product strategy for listing creation, enrichment, and optimization across Amazon, eBay, and Walmart
- Define and enforce content governance, including taxonomy, attribute standards, naming conventions, and quality requirements
- Lead digital shelf strategy to improve search visibility, conversion, and competitive positioning through SEO and content optimization
- Oversee product listing execution, including titles, descriptions, item specifics, attributes, imagery, A+ content, and category placement
- Drive channel-specific optimization strategies:
- Amazon → SEO, A+ content, conversion drivers
- eBay → item specifics, fitment (ePID), keyword coverage
- Walmart → structured content and compliance execution
- Build and scale repeatable processes, playbooks, and QA workflows to support high-volume SKU onboarding and maintenance
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Pricing to ensure accurate, launch-ready content and ongoing catalog health
- Own marketplace compliance, monitoring platform policy changes and ensuring adherence to marketplace and brand standards
- Manage relationships with marketplace partners (Amazon, Walmart, eBay) and third-party vendors, including agencies and syndication partners
- Lead evaluation and implementation of tools and technologies (PIM, DAM, syndication, automation, AI-driven optimization)
- Monitor marketplace trends, algorithm changes, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy
Performance Measurement, Reporting & Optimization
- Define Marketplace KPI frameworks and the reporting approach for executive reporting
- Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with Divisional leadership, including insights, learnings, and optimization recommendations
- Drive continuous improvement through test-and-learn approaches and documented best practices
Team Leadership + Cross-Functional Influence
- Influence cross-functional teams (Creative/Studio, Analytics, Finance, Division Marketing) to deliver accelerated growth
- Maintain strong executive communication and stakeholder trust across CXM and ELT leadership
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 8+ years of eCommerce, digital merchandising, or marketplace experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience managing Amazon, eBay and/or Walmart marketplace content and optimization
- 5+ years of people leadership experience (Managers, Specialists, Analysts)
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex SKU catalogs (40,000+ SKUs)
- Proven ability to improve key marketplace KPIs (sales, traffic, conversion, search ranking, content quality, account health metrics)
- Experience with marketplace platforms and tools (Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Walmart Seller Center, syndication tools like Rithum)
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvements
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to partner directly with Divisional leadership
- Exceptional communication skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing product content across multiple major marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.)
- Familiarity with automotive fitment data (ACES/PIES, ePID) or other complex attribute-based taxonomies
