Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Nurse

Location: Weirton, West Virginia

Type: Travel Contract

Experience Level: 2+ years of Cath Lab Experience Required

Trauma Level: Level 4 Trauma Center

Dress Code: Traveler provided scrubs/Navy Blue

Responsibilities:

• Skillfully position and immobilize patients on examining tables, adhering to specified protocols.
• Continuously assess patient hemodynamics, ensuring optimal patient care.
• Administer conscious sedation and closely monitor patients during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain IV/IC infusion and bolus treatments.
• Swiftly alert the physician to any changes in patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians during interventional procedures.
• Manage patient recovery to Phase I post-procedure.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of current Cath Lab experience is mandatory.
• 2+ years of experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures is required.
• Highly preferred: Certification in Moderate Sedation.
• Proficiency in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings is required.
• Experience with conscious sedation is necessary.
• IV experience is essential.
• Highly preferred: Electrophysiology (EP) experience.
• Preferred: Sorian EMR experience.
• Previous travel experience of one year or more is required.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Certifications:

• ACLS (AHA) certification is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification is required.

Licensing:

• Active West Virginia nursing license or compact license is required.
