The paramedic evaluates the patient and relays pertinent information to the appropriate medical facilities and may be required to implement appropriate medical intervention from medical command physician orders.The paramedic works closely with the EMT and other paramedics in providing effective and efficient patient care in accordance with established protocols and by performing the following duties.Paramedics assist with the supervision, training and direction of new paramedics, EMT's, EMS students and other outside agency personnel as directed.The Paramedic is fully responsible for all actions as a certified Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic and is accountable for the quality of emergency and non-emergency medical care delivered. In delivering pre-hospital emergency care, the Paramedic performs all techniques of basic and advanced life support, provides specified field treatment for medical emergencies, and transports patients to the appropriate medical facility. This includes ambulance, wheelchair and medical van.Successful applicant will conduct patient assessments to assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed, or need for additional assistance, and provides basic life support to all patients, adhering to established protocols and procedures.Must maintains up to date knowledge and clinical skills on treatment techniques, protocol changes, and application of new drugs, material, and equipment and attends continuing education on a regular basis.Pay is based on experienceRequired Experience/Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsQualified applicants must have completed an approved course of study and be currently certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and have demonstrated competency in all required skillsMust possess current certification in BLS-CPR and employee must possess current American Heart Association certification/recognition in ACLS.Must have medical command authorization from EmergyCare's Medical Director.Must hold a valid Driver's License and must successfully complete the Emergency Vehicles Operators Course.Must be able to drive a minimum of 4 hrs. per shift.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr Emergycare Inc
