Lead Automation Software Engineer

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Network Automation and Software development (e.g., Nautobot, Ansible, Python, APIs, Terraform) and a solid understanding of the underlaying technologies in Network InfrastructureIn this role, you will:Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Software Development / Network Automation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience.3+ years of technical documentation experience3+ years of programming and scripting skills: e.g Python, Go, Django, Perl, Ansible, TerraformDesired Qualifications:Prior experience in a lead or senior engineer capacity preferredRelevant certifications (e.g CCIE Automation, JNCIE) preferredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related area of studyContainers (docker, Kubernetes), Helm, Harness, and other package managers or AI driven CICD frameworks.Temporal, Celery and other workflow or runtime execution environments.Demonstrable Software development in Python, Go, .netAPI experience: Restconf, Netconf, Swagger, API based integrationObservability: gRPC, flow data, logging, Grafana, ELK, PrometheusExperience with information security and risk management including policy and standards, information security assessments, security best practices, and mitigation solution design and implementationStrong leadership skills Job Expectations:No visa sponsorshipHybrid in-office schedulePotential travelPay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
