Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized postpartum and labor and delivery nursing care within a hospital setting, supporting maternal and neonatal health during critical stages of childbirth and postpartum recovery. Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives to deliver personalized patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor maternal and neonatal medications, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Assess patient condition through ongoing clinical evaluation and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate and support new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive maternity services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and facility-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Hold a current Massachusetts RN license and active BLS certification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience, including postpartum and mother-baby care.
• Maintain active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE certifications.
• Own reliable transportation and include perm address in profile.
• Provide a supervisory reference from within the past two years.
