Direct Support Professional Senior - Behavior Modification Assistant

Direct Support Professional Senior Agency: Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) – Community Based Services – Minnesota State Operated Community Services Location: Stacy, MN Employment Type: Part‑time (unlimited hours) with options for day, rotating, evening, and overnight shifts; may include weekends and holidays. Salary Range: $24.12–$30.89 per hour. Responsibilities Assist in assessing individuals' needs through direct care duties. Develop and implement residential and habilitation support plans with goals and methods. Evaluate, document outcomes, maintain and modify plans, and perform related work as required. Respond therapeutically, using de‑escalation strategies and positive behavior supports for individuals displaying challenging behaviors. Transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, community outings, recreational activities, and spiritual events. Perform other duties as directed to support the program's goal of improving quality of life and personal growth for clients. Minimum Qualifications Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or co‑occurring diagnoses. Experience with verbal de‑escalation strategies and working with individuals who exhibit aggressive behaviors. Clear communication skills for interacting with community members, employers, and teams. Minimum age 18 years. Basic math and computer skills. Valid driver's license. Ability to perform all physical and essential job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Experience collecting and summarizing data to document program delivery (observation, charting, measurement). Formal training, certification, or education in a related field: CNA, PCA, Child Development, First Aid, CPR, etc. CNA experience in a group home, nursing home, assisted living, or similar setting.
