Two positions available.\n Position Overview:\n Provide critical care nursing for adult and geriatric cardiovascular patients, including immediate postoperative cardiac surgery patients and complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and cardiovascular support.\n Job duties:\n \n Provide immediate postoperative care to cardiac surgery patients, including CABG and valve surgery, with 1:1 monitoring during the first 12 hours.\n Manage ventilated patients and respiratory support in collaboration with respiratory therapy, including ABG interpretation and airway suctioning.\n Monitor and manage advanced cardiovascular support including IABP, Impella, FloTrac, CRRT, and pulmonary artery/Swan-Ganz monitoring.\n Titrate cardiac and vasoactive infusions while managing patients with cardiogenic shock, dysrhythmias, and acute cardiovascular instability.\n Provide comprehensive ICU care including arterial and central line management, blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response.\n \n Requirements:License: Active MD RN or Compact RN LicenseExperience: Minimum 1 year; first-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of strong CVICU/open-heart experienceCertifications: BLS and ACLS required; AHA certifications requiredOther requirement: Must be comfortable floating within specialty, to sister units, and to lower-acuity areas as needed; every other weekend required.\n Unit Details:Unit: CCRU – 3610-10172Patient Ratios: Days 1:2; Nights 1:2; immediate post-op cardiac surgery 1:1 for first 12 hours; IMC float 1:3Patient Population: Adults and geriatricsPatient Diagnoses: Cardiac surgery (CABG, valve, CABG/valve), CAD including STEMI/NSTEMI, AFib with RVR, cardiogenic shock, vascular peripheral bypasses and EVAR, and thoracic VATS patients.\n About HonorVet Technologies\n \n HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes\n Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
