Step into a meaningful contract opportunity serving middle school students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026/2027 school year. This full-time position spans from ASAP through June 2027 and is based at a supportive educational environment. Your expertise will make a direct impact, fostering student independence and success throughout their academic journey.

In this role, you'll collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families to deliver therapy services within the school setting. You'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours each week, exclusively with a middle school caseload.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Experience supporting school-aged children, preferably in a school-based or pediatric setting
• Understanding of IEP documentation and implementation
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt treatment plans and strategies for diverse student needs
• Active state licensure (or eligibility) as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to middle school students under the guidance of a licensed OT
• Assist with assessments and help develop and implement IEPs
• Document progress, maintain records, and actively participate in team meetings
• Adapt therapy activities to maximize each student’s growth and independence
• Support classroom staff with strategies and tools that benefit students’ daily functioning
