QA LEAD

QA LeadWe are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead to oversee and lead all testing and quality assurance activities related to a Design System implementation across web-based guided experiences. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, accessible, and user-friendly digital solutions.The QA Lead will be responsible for leading all testing activities related to design system enhancements, defect fixes, platform upgrades, software maintenance, and new feature implementations. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements for completeness and testability, preparing test plans, assigning tasks to QA team members, tracking progress, developing and executing test cases, reporting defects, and mentoring QA staff on testing standards and best practices.Responsibilities:Understand the design system and guided user experiences.Ensure QA processes follow industry standards and best practices.Review business and technical requirements for completeness and testability.Develop and maintain: Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Traceability Matrix, Test Estimates, Test Execution Reports, Defect Reports.Estimate testing effort and coordinate schedules with project managers.Maintain requirements and test scripts within the test management system.Maintain project documentation in SharePoint or other repositories.Assign tasks to QA team members and monitor progress.Create, validate, and maintain test data.Execute manual and automated test cases.Track, report, and resolve defects.Support deployment activities.Participate in sanity, regression, performance, and automation testing.Identify test scenarios suitable for automation.Ensure proper documentation and status reporting throughout the SDLC.Perform additional QA activities as required.Required Qualifications:Minimum 8 years of Quality Assurance experience.Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Lead supporting complex enterprise applications.Experience testing public-facing web applications.Experience with SDLC management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Quality Center (QC).Strong experience with Azure DevOps preferred.Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java.Experience creating and maintaining test cases based on requirements.Experience validating integrations involving real-time and batch data transfers.Strong experience testing browser-based (HTML) applications.Understanding of testing differences between web applications and desktop applications.Experience using Postman and SoapUI for API/Web Service testing.Knowledge of CSV, XML, and JSON file formats.Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong leadership, decision-making, and mentoring abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.Experience testing mobile native applications.Basic understanding of HTML.Knowledge of SOA architecture and SOAP/REST APIs.Hands-on experience with SoapUI and Postman automation.Understanding of XML standards (including NIEM) and JSON structures.Working knowledge of SQL for testing and data validation.
