Forklift Operator - Selah Plant

Responsible for the loading and unloading of material and/or finished goods, stacking full and empty bins and drums, transportation of raw material to and from designated areas, and following established sanitation and safety procedures.

Essential functions include lot location inventory, checking equipment prior to shift on a daily basis, responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks with raw material and empty bins or drums, transportation of raw material to and from designated areas, cleaning fruit storage areas when necessary, responsible for forklift fueling and cleaning procedures, ensuring that bins have tags and are not mixed with unlike varieties, complying with all established PPE, GMP, Sanitation and Safety policies and procedures, and ability to complete appropriate check lists and reports.

Certificates, licenses, and registrations required include a current driver's license and DMV report that meet the requirements of our insurance agency, and must also complete a forklift safety training course.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment includes exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration, frequently working near moving mechanical parts, occasionally working in high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock, and usually loud noise level.

Salary range: $20.43 to $25.69 per hour. This range reflects the full pay scale for all roles within this position's grade. The actual salary offer will consider various factors, such as experience and, if applicable, location. Tree Top provides a weekly payroll. This position is eligible for annual safety incentive based on company performance.
