Position Summary

The Receptionist acts as the first point of contact with new and existing employees, clients, and prospective clients who contact Achieva. This position reports to the Administrative Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude and assist clients in finding their way around the office.
• Answer phones in a professional manner and route calls as necessary.
• Sort and distribute mail, check faxes, and distribute them as needed.
• Operate front desk security equipment, including the visitor access/bell system and other security equipment as applicable.
• Help maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting badges as necessary.
• Assist colleagues with administrative tasks.
• Assign and remove access to employee badges.
• Mail cards to employees for employment anniversaries and birthdays.
• Apply recognition awards to employee accounts.
• Order copy paper and coffee supplies.
• Serve as the backup for taking photographs of new employees and creating and issuing employee identification badges.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information, visitors, employees, and security-related matters.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of office-related/receptionist experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
