Biomedical Equipment Technician 3

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician 3 to service and maintain complex medical equipment at hospital customer sites in Virginia. The role involves on-site repair, preventive maintenance, customer relations, and may include leadership responsibilities for other technicians.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls at hospital sites to diagnose and repair complex biomedical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety/environmental inspections on ventilator and related equipment
- Maintain proactive customer communication and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and strong relations
- Lead, instruct, and mentor other technicians on repair procedures and troubleshooting
- Document repairs, manage inventory and spares, and comply with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting ventilator equipment
- Willingness to travel daily to customer sites statewide with 30-50% overnight travel capability
- Proficiency with electronic documentation tools and Microsoft Office
- Strong customer relations skills across all organizational levels in healthcare settings
- Technical communication ability to explain complex issues in accessible language
- Independent and collaborative problem-solving skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted, climb, bend, and maintain dexterity; valid U.S. work authorization required
Compensation: $68,800–$103,200 annual
