Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Mother Baby experience Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the postpartum and mother-baby specialty. The unit features 34 private couplet rooms. There are 78 staff members on the team. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/secretary on day shifts, and the same on night shifts. The patient ratios are 1:3-4 couplets. Typical equipment used includes Alaris pumps and bilirubin blankets/lights. The electronic medical record system is Cerner. Candidates should preferably have travel experience and experience caring for patients on magnesium sulfate post-delivery. A STABLE certification is also preferred but not required. Circumcisions are among the typical procedures performed in this unit. The best personality fit for this role is a team player who loves to teach. Weekends are required, but there are no call shifts. Please be aware of unit guidelines and policies.
