Travel Registered Nurse MICU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – MICU in Lawrenceville, GA. This travel, temporary assignment starts on 09/14/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay range is $1,785–$1,888 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern is 2x3 days in a hospital-based Medical ICU unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU, including frequent assessment and documentation of status.
- Administer prescribed medications, manage IV therapy, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor ventilator support and hemodynamic parameters; interpret trends and escalate changes to the care team.
- Perform and assist with invasive procedures as assigned (e.g., line placement, arterial sampling) and ensure adherence to infection prevention practices.
- Conduct neuro assessments as indicated ( NIHSS when applicable ) and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members; document care accurately in the electronic medical record.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS competency or certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent MICU experience
- Ability to work in a high-acuity MICU environment and maintain patient safety
- Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred
