Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-3

Responsibilities Operates company vehicles, provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features, provides coverage for all assigned routes in the station's service area, and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma / GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years old. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Employees operating company vehicles must meet specific requirements; must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and maintain a good driving record. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Requires ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Preferred Qualifications The desired location for this position is Bedford Hts., OH. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week. Pay Transparency This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for this role across all potential locations. The range reflects the starting salary for the lowest level to the highest level. Actual starting pay depends on experience, market level, pay at the location, and other job‑related factors. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonuses. The company offers health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Pay $23.42 – $35.54 per hour.
