Senior Infrastructure Network Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We are looking for knowledge across one or more infrastructure engineering areas, such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment.
• We need hands-on network engineering experience and formal training or certification in technical and network design concepts such as CCIE or CCNP.
• We expect strong expertise in networking technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting of routing and switching protocols such as BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, RSVP-TE, and IS-IS, along with familiarity with TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, proxies, and IPv4/IPv6.
• We require deep knowledge of multiple infrastructure technologies and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, YAML, JSON, and Bash.
• We need knowledge of on-premises and remote data center technologies and operations.
• We require strong experience with several operating system and hypervisor platforms, including Hyper-V, ESXi, KVM, VMware, and OpenShift.
• We need deep technical knowledge of Cisco ASR-class routers and Arista hardware platforms.
• We expect demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• We require the ability to review and verify AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
• Preferred: experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet for configuration management and deployment.
• Preferred: working knowledge of 40/100/400G Ethernet and CWDM, DWDM, and optical transport network technologies.
• Preferred: understanding of optics and switch ASIC internals.
• Preferred: working knowledge of physical infrastructure design, including structured cabling and fiber-optic cabling.
• Preferred: understanding of network hardware platforms and their datacenter specifications.
• Preferred: ability to solve design and functionality issues independently with minimal oversight.

• We apply deep technical expertise and structured problem-solving to analyze complex data and systems, anticipate issues, assess upstream and downstream impacts, and recommend mitigation actions.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to speed up analysis of complex infrastructure signals and document mitigation options, while validating outputs and handling operational data in line with sensitivity and security requirements.
• We plan, design, deploy, and configure WAN network solutions and fabrics using Cisco routers, switches, and other network devices.
• We provide technical guidance and problem-solving support for efforts to modernize the Enterprise WAN, ensuring designs follow industry best practices and security standards.
• We manage the lifecycle of network infrastructure, including deployment packages, as-built documentation, and performance optimization approaches.
• We troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues while considering dependencies and advising on mitigation measures.
• We ensure compliance with shared responsibility models, including physical infrastructure, connectivity, and facility-level standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• We deliver infrastructure engineering work in alignment with business needs, compliance standards, risk and security requirements, and business objectives.
• We lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted practices across delivery and automation routines to reduce recurring issues, ensuring changes are validated, traceable, auditable, and aligned with resiliency and security expectations.
