Eureka, California (Onsite) Work Type: Full-Time Positions: 1 Experience Required: 1 – 5 Years The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic radiation treatments and performing procedures to plan, set up, and verify accurate delivery of radiation therapy. This role requires expertise in modern radiotherapy techniques and adherence to clinical and safety standards. The therapist works closely with physicians, physicists, and oncology teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment Delivery

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments accurately
• Position patients and ensure correct treatment setup
• Monitor patient response during treatment sessions

Treatment Planning & Verification

• Assist in treatment planning and simulation procedures
• Verify treatment accuracy using imaging and planning tools
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards

Equipment & Technical Support

• Operate radiotherapy equipment safely and effectively
• Perform quality checks and report equipment issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments

Collaboration & Patient Support

• Work closely with oncology teams and physicians
• Educate patients on treatment procedures and expectations
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout therapy

Must-Have Qualifications

Completion of formal therapeutic radiologic technology training ARRT Certification (Required) California Radiologic Technology Certification (Required) Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures Ability to work in clinical oncology settings

Preferred Qualifications

Specialized training in dosimetric techniques and treatment planning physics Experience in modern radiotherapy technologies Experience in hospital-based oncology departments
