Machine Shop Supervisor

Job Description CSI Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation specializing in the repair of air data probes and aircraft accessories, is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor. The role requires a proven track record as a highly skilled professional machinist, responsible for supervising Team Members, coordinating production schedules, ensuring the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies, and maintaining expertise on CNC machining, blueprints, schematics, programming, and conformance to specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform complex machining operations on a variety of materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings. Monitor and adjust the production schedule to respond to internal requirements. Troubleshoot parts and machine problems. Coordinate with other departments to meet company needs, working closely with engineers and machinists to ensure parts meet design intent. Manage daily activities of machine shop team members and related equipment. Oversee tooling design and maintenance, including new product development and production tooling. Handle talent management: interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving complaints. Enforce company safety and conduct policies, initiating disciplinary action as needed. Maintain knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Extensive experience operating and programming CNC machines. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with technical drawings, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced work environment. Advanced expertise, leadership, and teaching ability. Computational skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks & Esprit programming software. Reasoning abilities to solve practical problems in variable contexts. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Five (5) years of related experience, hands‑on experience through apprenticeships or on‑the‑job training is essential. Post‑secondary certificates or associate degrees in machining or manufacturing are preferred. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The noise level is usually moderate.
