Lab Tech 1

Role Description Job Title: Lab Tech 1 Schedule: Tues - Fri 9:00pm - 5:30am; Sat 7:00pm - 3:30am Responsibilities and Duties Process and perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or histology samples using high‑throughput automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic equipment. Set up and run lab tests, read and release results according to ZRL SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Maintain analyzers, including daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance. Accession samples and track specimen storage, including packaging and unpackaging for shipments to other laboratories. Follow QC standards and EHS practices consistent with laboratory standards. Troubleshoot sample integrity issues and respond to customer concerns through Salesforce ticketing with the customer service department. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Properly handle and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste while adhering to applicable regulatory guidelines. Consistently and properly fill out laboratory logs, including maintenance logs, environmental logs, and cleaning logs. Manage email correspondence professionally and promptly. Be a team player and maintain a positive attitude. Education and Experience Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent required. BS/BA is preferred. Experience Requirement: 1+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
