DescriptionRelease Manager Enterprise Transformation ModernizationThe Release Manager will be a key leader in driving the transformation of release management practices from legacy, fragmented processes to a modern, automated, and scalable operating model. This role will lead the design, implementation, and adoption of enterprise-wide release capabilities across International Technology and Global Payments Solutions Technology.This leader will bring a forward-looking mindset, combining deep domain expertise in global payments with proven experience modernizing complex technology environments. The role requires strong influence, strategic execution, and the ability to align diverse teams to a standardized, efficient, and risk-aware release framework.Key Responsibilities:Transformation ModernizationLead the evolution of release management from traditional/manual processes to a modern, automated, and data-driven modelDefine and execute a roadmap to standardize release practices across legacy and modern technology stacksDrive adoption of automation capabilities to accelerate delivery while reducing riskEnterprise Process Design ImplementationDesign, document, and implement scalable, LOB-wide release management processes aligned to the target state operating modelEstablish clear standards for release planning, readiness, deployment, and post-release validationEnsure processes are sustainable, measurable, and consistently applied across all technology verticalsDomain Leadership Global PaymentsApply deep expertise in international payments and global payment platforms to manage complex dependencies, integrations, and release riskEnsure seamless coordination across cross-border systems and critical payment flowGovernance Execution ExcellenceEstablish and enforce release governance, including milestone tracking, controls, and risk managementDrive disciplined execution across large-scale, multi-application releasesImplement metrics and reporting to provide transparency and continuous improvement insightAutomation OptimizationIdentify and implement opportunities to automate release workflows and eliminate manual inefficienciesPartner with engineering teams to integrate release processes into CI/CD pipelines and tooling ecosystemCommunication Change LeadershipServe as a transformation leader, driving adoption through clear, structured communication at all levels of the organizationTranslate complex technical and process changes into actionable insights for executives and delivery teamsChampion a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvementEnablement AdoptionDevelop high-quality playbooks, documentation, and training materials to support enterprise-wide adoptionMentor release managers and delivery teams to elevate overall release management maturityCollaboration InfluenceBuild strong partnerships across CIO organizations, engineering, operations, and business stakeholdersInfluence without authority to drive alignment and adoption across global, matrixed teams8+ years of experience in Release Management, IT Service Management, or related disciplines within large, complex organizations. Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise release management frameworks. Strong domain knowledge of Global Payments Solutions Technology, including systems integration, payment processing flows, and cross-border operational dependencies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and drive organizational change. Expertise in process documentation, stakeholder engagement, and training delivery. Experience leveraging automation and tooling to improve release efficiency and reduce operational risk. Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach to execution and follow-through. 8+ years of experience in Release Management, IT Service Management, or related disciplines within large, complex organizations Proven experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives, particularly modernizing legacy release processes Strong domain expertise in Global Payments Solutions Technology, including integration patterns and operational dependencies Demonstrated success implementing release automation strategies for tracking and reporting Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels Strong process discipline with expertise in documentation, governance, and change management Proven ability to drive alignment and execution across distributed teams without direct authority Experience defining KPIs/metrics to measure release performance and continuous improvement Qualifications Experience in global financial services or other highly regulated environments Experience with enterprise tooling (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Cutover) ITIL certification or equivalent experience in ITSM best practices Experience leading transformation from monolithic/legacy systems to modern, cloud-enabled architecturesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $70.00/hr.
