About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: CPI or Handle with Care certification preferred, BLS required Must-Have: Certification with Handle with Care if possible, but training will be provided. Experience in Psychiatric nursing. Description: Travelers must start on designated orientation dates. Candidates must have either CPI or Handle with Care certification to be considered. Facility features various specialized centers, including brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, and general surgery. There are dedicated beds for emergency care, inpatient rehab, surgical suites, and imaging. The Behavioral Health Hospital has adult-specific services with 81 beds. Patient-to-nurse ratios vary across units, ensuring quality care is maintained. Available beds include 23, 20, 15, 13, and 10, staffed with RNs and CNAs. Common diagnoses and treatments include schizophrenia, dementia, manic bipolar disorder, psychosis, dual diagnosis, medical detox, depression, and anxiety disorders. Dress code is flexible regarding scrub color. This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
