Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and deliver evidence-based nursing care
• Occasional float to nursery or baby transition nurse role when delivery volumes are high, including routine newborn care, vitals, head-to-toe assessments, skin-to-skin support, breastfeeding assistance, and routine labs
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements, including equivalent of every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) plus two Fridays per six-week schedule
• Commit to working three of five designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Current BCLS and NRP certifications
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days
• Ability to disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records charting
• Familiarity with newborn transition care, including post-delivery assessments and breastfeeding support
• Prior experience in an acute care or Magnet-designated facility
