If you are ready to bring magic to every plate, we invite you to apply for our hourly Hotel Banquets Dinner Cook role today!Responsibilities:Prepare, season, and cook stocks, soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in hotels and restaurantsRead menus to estimate food requirements and procure it from storageAdjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettlesMeasure and mix ingredients according to recipe, using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casserolesBake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foodsAdd seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking according to personal judgment and experienceObserve and test food being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cookedResponsible for ensuring food is cooked to proper standardsClean kitchen equipment and practice all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) proceduresBasic Qualifications:You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this rolePassion for culinary and delighting our Guests with food for an unforgettable Disney culinary experience!Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in culinary field with a focus on high volume restaurant productionCulinary degree or equivalent experience required with less than 2-3 years' experienceProficient knife skillsProven knowledge of culinary techniques and terminologyProven ability to read and understand recipesOrganizational skills; Ability to multitask and work in a very fast paced team environmentSpeed, accuracy, and efficiency are requiredAbility to work well under pressureAbility to adapt to production requirementsMust be fully available Sunday through Saturday year-round, willing to work holidays, weekends, and special eventsPreferred Education:Culinary degree or culinary certificateAdditional Information:Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am.
