Lead Data Scientist

Salary: $104,900 - 174,700 per year Requirements:

• Substantial experience in a senior data scientist role
• Experience leading complex projects and customer relationships
• Significant experience leading technical teams
• Experience mentoring or training others, serving as a subject matter expert to guide colleagues
• Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative approach to resolving issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to senior stakeholders
• Preferred: PhD or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Preferred: Experience working directly with large language models and transformer-based architectures such as BERT, RoBERTa, and T5
• Preferred: Working knowledge of recent LLMs including ChatGPT, GPT 3.5, OPT, and BLOOM
• Preferred: Experience with reinforcement learning, prompt engineering, and hallucination mitigation
• Preferred: Understanding of the business risks associated with applying LLMs in a business setting
• Preferred: Experience with large datasets and distributed computing systems such as Hadoop and Spark
• Preferred: Strong coding skills in Python or another programming language
• Preferred: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

• Lead the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions align with business goals and customer needs
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends that inform AI development
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders clearly and concisely
• Stay current with the latest AI and machine learning trends and technologies
• Mentor junior data scientists and guide best practices in AI and machine learning
• Drive best practices across our data science functions
• Set strategy and team direction with a clear vision for Data Science
• Work with product leaders to apply data science solutions
• Evaluate and create new frameworks, methodologies, and governance approaches
• Lead small to medium-sized teams
