Position: Director of Human Resources
Location: Hudson County, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually

Optima Care Harborview is seeking an experienced and people-focused Director of Human Resources to oversee all HR operations within our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of healthcare HR practices, employee relations, compliance, and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee records

• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations

• Oversee performance evaluations and employee relations

• Coordinate employee training and in-service programs

• Handle employee investigations, unemployment claims, and exit interviews

• Serve as a liaison between staff, union representatives, and facility leadership

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures

• Support employee engagement and retention initiatives

• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of Human Resources experience

• Skilled nursing or healthcare experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment regulations, and labor laws

• Experience with employee relations and workplace investigations

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility leadership

• Union experience preferred
