Summary


This position carries out a variety of health service duties involving communication, educational, and training activities under the supervision of, or after consultation with, one or more health specialists.



Essential Duties


1. Arranges meetings and meets with groups in the community in need of health services; explains programs available and official and other community resources.


2. Participates in and promotes health education activities within the community.


3. Refers individuals and groups to health specialists within a local health department or to other community resources.


4. Provides ongoing individualized case management services.


5. Identifies health services needs of individuals and groups within minority and disadvantaged groups.


6. Oversees and coordinates volunteer advocacy activities.


7. Participates in planning and carries out program activities in cooperation with one or more health specialists.


8. Prepares reports; participates in oral and written plans, analyses, and evaluations of health services.


9. Performs other work as required.
Qualifications


An Associate of Arts degree from a community college or a satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to two years of college work above high school.

Grays Harbor County pays entire medical, dental and vision for full time employees and provides up to $800 monthly towards dependent coverage for Courthouse Contract employees and $950 per month for Public Works Contract employees. Benefits are pro-rated for part-time employees.
