Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring optimal medical and emotional support. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer critical care interventions, including sedation and IV insertion.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatments based on clinical assessments.
• Document patient responses and care activities accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about condition management and post-discharge needs.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN license.
• Possess a minimum of two years of critical care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in conscious sedation, IV insertion, and phlebotomy.
• Hold an Associate Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Maintain current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
