Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and monitor patient response, including oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication delivery.
• Manage ventilator support, adjust settings per protocol, and participate in weaning as appropriate.
• Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation; adjust care under physician orders.
• Assess patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain respiratory care equipment, ensure proper sterilization, and uphold infection control and safety standards.

Requirements

• GA RRT lic (Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• NBRC – RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP per AHA requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in respiratory care, within the specialty
• Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting
