Optometry Technician

We are looking for an Optometry Technician to join a growing eye care team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients in a fast-paced medical office while helping provide exceptional vision care. Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients for eye examinations. Obtain patient medical histories and update records. Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, and other diagnostic screenings. Assist the optometrist during patient exams and procedures. Educate patients on contact lens care, eyewear options, and treatment plans. Assist with frame selection and eyewear fittings as needed. Maintain exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and functioning properly. Schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with front office duties when needed. Provide outstanding customer service throughout the patient experience. Qualifications Previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and electronic medical records (EMR) experience.High school diploma or GED required.
