Litigation Attorney - Trial Team

Litigation Attorney – Trial Team Location: Downtown Los Angeles, flexible hybrid schedule or remote for candidates outside Los Angeles Position Overview We are looking for an attorney with 4–7 years of civil litigation experience who is confident in the courtroom, strategic in motion practice, and comfortable handling cases with limited oversight. Experience in consumer warranty defense is a plus but not required. This role involves direct client interaction, litigation strategy, case management from start to finish, and contributing to the firm’s broader workflow and efficiency initiatives. Key Responsibilities Independently manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution Draft, analyze, and argue motions, oppositions, and briefs Conduct and defend depositions (parties, experts, and third-party witnesses) Handle all aspects of discovery, including meet-and-confers and discovery motions Participate in and lead settlement negotiations Appear in court for hearings, law & motion, and case management Assist with trial preparation, including pre-trial filings and strategy Communicate regularly with clients about case status and strategy Provide support and informal mentorship to junior attorneys and staff Qualifications Active California State Bar member in good standing 4–7 years of civil litigation experience (consumer warranty defense a plus) Federal court circuit experience a strong plus Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills with demonstrated experience drafting and opposing motions in limine, ex parte applications, and discovery motions Ability to develop and execute strategic litigation plans Experience handling all phases of litigation including written discovery, depositions, law and motion practice, and trial preparation Experience preparing and managing trial documents including trial briefs, jury instructions, verdict forms, exhibit lists, witness lists, trial subpoenas, trial binders, and other materials necessary for trial Ability to effectively meet and confer with opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes, trial documents, expert depositions, and other litigation matters Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while meeting court deadlines and maintaining attention to detail Experience managing cases with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work Experience handling mediations Benefits Salary starting at $165,000/year + (depending on experience) Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, 401(K) up to 4% company matching, PTO Hybrid remote/in-office schedule In-office gym membership Business casual dress code Clear growth track and leadership opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Turner Henningsen Wolf & VanDenburg, LLP
