What Will You Do? Enter and update data in the MRP/ERP system based on purchasing procedures Communicate delivery expectations, quality needs, and support goals to suppliers Work with logistics to arrange shipments and close orders on time Maintain reports on cost savings, delivery performance, and inventory as needed Follow Chart's procedures and safety guidelines while acting ethically Inform Project Managers about material issues that could affect deadlines Attend team meetings to discuss project status and resolve issues Adhere to Quality Management System processes for supplier approvals and track material issues Lead supplier development by working with Category Support, Quality, and Engineering Help negotiate pricing, payment, delivery, and quality terms with suppliers Serve as the main contact for Chart's suppliers and promote the Chart brand Create purchase orders for assigned projects and confirm delivery dates Coordinate with vendors to prevent supply issues Analyze reports on coverage and supplier performance Collaborate with engineering and project management on changes and new projects Review daily production reports Manage strategies for replenishing assigned materials Your Experience Should Be… Bachelors degree in a related field At least two (2) years of directly related experience Association for Supply Chain Management Certification in CPIM preferred High attention to detail Ability to work independently and in teams Working Conditions and PPE Working Conditions Some Outdoor; Office Environment Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) While In The Shops Safety Glasses Steel Toe Shoes Ear Plugs Safety Vest Gloves (when needed) Face Shield (when needed) Physical Requirements Walking Standing Using hands Bending Lifting Benefits / Equal Employment Opportunity Chart Industries is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicants because of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, marital status, genetic information or any other reason prohibited by law.
